The CarmichaelUK team were delighted and privileged to support Bucks Young Carers on Sunday to help deliver their annual Family Fun Day.
Young carers are individuals under the age of 18 who provide significant care, support, and assistance to a family member with a physical or mental illness, disability, or addiction. The Fun Days are important because these are days when the whole of the family can enjoy an exciting day out together in a safe environment where there will be no judgment.
With over 70 families invited, the turnout was the best ever, and guests enjoyed the many varied activities on offer including exotic animals, bouncy castles and slides of all shapes and sizes, snake discovery pits, tattoo artistry, nail painting, and jungle arts and crafts.
The families enjoyed an appetising BBQ and some delicious home-cooked foods specially prepared by the local Muslim Mosque in Aylesbury. An ice-cream van was also in attendance and was kept busy serving free ice creams to all the guests.
The event ran over the scheduled finish time and all the families went home feeling ‘happy tired’.
