Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event when there is an opportunity for the whole of the UK to focus on achieving good mental health. The Mental Health Foundation started the event 21 years ago. The theme for this years event is Loneliness.
At CarmichaelUK 100% of our staff are fully qualified Mental Health First Aiders. The course consists of two main parts which support our staff to:
Learn about mental health and how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue
Develop skills and knowledge to have effective mental health conversations with your teams
To mark this years Mental health Awareness Week we started our Monday morning with a Coffee & Cake catch-up session where our staff refreshed their Mental Health First Aid knowledge. Our staff also shared their own tips and tricks to help their mental wellbeing, this included Yoga, Breathwork, Ujjayi and more. What do you do to help your Mental Health?
