Mental Health Awareness Week

Monday 10th May - Sunday 17th May is National Mental Health Awareness Week!

Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. Mental Health Awareness Week aims to get people talking about their mental health and reduce the stigma that can stop people from asking for help.

This years' theme is Nature, find out more about why the Mental Health foundation chose to centre this years event around Nature click here.

How are we supporting Mental Health Awareness Week this year?

It's tough in the current climate to support these events socially. We have come up with a number of resources and activities for our staff and you to make use of not just for this week but whenever you need them:

  • Local Walks - Check out this super easy walk finder online

  • Helplines: Find a selection of free helplines and support groups here

  • Tips on connecting with nature - LINK

  • Mental Health Foundation resources

At CarmichaelUK, we also have a number of fully certified Mental Health First Aiders on hand to support our Candidates, Clients and Staff, find out who they are here.
