Channel 4’s new show Escape begins this Sunday 1st October and promises to push the boundaries of reality TV as a small group of engineers are challenged to flee a staged crash site, days from civilisation with only the surrounding wreckage to help them escape.

In Sunday’s show, the team which consists of an aerobatic pilot, a traditional craftsman, an aerospace engineer and two mechanical engineers find themselves stranded amongst the debris of a simulated plane crash. The crew must use only improvised tools and generate their own power to build a vehicle to escape to civilisation. Water & food are also in short supply and so the team will have to make their own shelter – but they can’t just survive, they must escape!

The 5 part series is hosted by Royal Engineer and SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton whose SAS experience will provide insight into the physical and mental strains that the contestants are enduring Each episode will put the team in a different terrain — desert, snow, jungle or on water. Escape begins this Sunday on Channel 4 at 8pm.
