Staying Safe during the Covid-19 Pandemic

At Carmichael UK the health, safety, and wellbeing of our candidates is our top priority.

We have robust health and safety polices and procedures in place and we regularly audit our client's sites to ensure that all our contractors are working in a safe environment that does not present a risk to either their physical or mental health.  We regularly review these policies in relation to the additional risks presented by Covid-19 both in our offices and at our client's sites.  Findings from these reviews are communicated to our clients, contractors, and staff as necessary and changes to our process and procedures are implemented as required.

We ask all contractors to make us aware if they are in a clinically vulnerable group at risk from Covid-19 so that we can ensure that appropriate mitigations are put in place by our clients to ensure their safety.  We suggest that all contractors follow Government guidelines by taking up the Covid-19 vaccines and, where applicable, the Covid-19 booster jab.  We encourage contractors to protect themselves and others from risk by following all recommended and  legislative government guidelines in respect of social distancing, mask wearing, and self-isolation as required.

We expect all contractors and visitors to our offices to comply with our office Covid-19 protocols including temperature checks on entry, hand washing, social distancing and the wearing of face coverings.  All visitors require an appointment to visit our offices and we respectfully ask that you do not attend our offices if you feel unwell.

If you are anxious about the risk posed by Covid-19 and would like to discuss this with us, please call your recruitment consultant in the first instance.  Recruiters can be contacted on the mobile number provided to you, or via our landline 0208 522 8888.  Our landlines are open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  All staff at Carmichael UK are qualified and fully trained Mental Health First Aiders.  They are trained to listen to you in a non-judgemental way, treat your discussion as confidential, and guide you to appropriate support.

If you are concerned about unsafe practices on site in relation to the spread of Covid-19 please speak in confidence to one of our team.  Alternatively, you may raise this issue anonymously via the 'near miss' form on our website.

In these difficult times, we remain committed to ensuring that your health, safety and wellbeing is our priority.

We thank you for your continued loyalty.
