My client, a major joint venture, has a great opportunity for an Historic Environment Research and Delivery Assistant in Birmingham to work on one of the biggest infrastructure projects the UK has seen.
1. Purpose of the Job
To act as assistant to the Archaeology sector lead.
2. Principal Accountabilities
Assist with preparation of project plans, scoping documents and desk studies as required and liaise with HS2 and stakeholders
Manage schedule data and liaise with land access and logistics teams
Maintain issue register
Maintain stakeholder engagement register
Liaise with the site supervisor and site engineer to support the subcontractors progress
Assist with preparation of presentations and works updates to local community groups in liaison with Archaeology Sector lead
Develop personal career plan goals and agree CPD training and development actions with Lead Archaeologist
Assist with joint ventrure and HS2 media programme
Develop understanding and experience in all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times.
Develop understanding of vision and values, behaving in ways that are in alignment with the client's Ways of Working.
Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put Fusion's information or information systems at risk.

Reports to Archaeology Sector lead
Supported by Archaeology Technical Delivery Manager
Works closely with the Site Supervisor, Land Access Coordinator, H&S and Environmental Advisors, Community Relations Officers and other members of the Archaeology Package team
Collaborates with subcontractor's and supplier's representatives.
Develops effective working relationships with key stakeholders and community representatives.
5. Person specification
Graduate in archaeology or related field
Some experience of historic environment works
Good office skills and software use experience
Effective research skills
