We are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Engineer for civils and structural work as part of a railway upgrade in the South West on a freelance basis.
You would be working for a major main contractor who has an established reputation within the rail industry for civils works and who are involved in a host of engineering and construction sectors. The contract is for 18 months and you will be working on sections of Network Rail track between Bristol & Worcester.
The contractor is looking for a Senior Engineer who has previous rail upgrade experience and the daily rate reflects the level of experience which they are looking for.
As the Senior Engineer on this contract, your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the Section Manager on sections of the works
* Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments
* Helping manage and supervise the civils subcontractors
* Carrying out quality inspections as required
* Producing ITPs and as builds
* Planning weekly and monthly programmes for the civils team

If you are interested in the position, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
* A completed construction or civil engineering related Degree or HNC
* Hold a valid CSCS and PTS
* Have previously worked as a Site, Section or Senior Site Engineer
