SENIOR PLANNER - RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE LOCATION: Kent, UK SALARY: £420-450p/day
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner skilled in Rail Infrastructure works to join a highly regarded Top Tier civil contractor on a Major Network Rail Framework Contract based in Kent. Established over 150 years ago with an annual turnover in excess of £1.2B this is your opportunity to further develop your career with one of the UK's largest civil construction companies. This key role will be based within the Enhancements / Renewals team responsible for major station infrastructure and platform upgrade sites across East Sussex. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience working on medium/large size civil projects in the UK with a main contractor.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting to the Project Manager
*Support the project manager in the successful planning and control of project delivery *Ensure that the periodic project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client through the provision of schedule delay and critical path analysis reports as required *Work with project team to ensure project schedules are accurately developed and maintained with accurate resource /cost loading where relevant *Perform critical path analysis and advise of possible actions and areas of concern *Ensure that the periodic project reporting requirements are met for both internal and client through the provision of schedule delay and critical path analysis reports as required *Provide guidance and leadership to junior planners
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
*Main contractor experience in planning working with Primavera P6; Monte Carlo type risk analysis of the programme such as Pertmaster highly desirable *Experience working on complex Network Rail Infrastructure upgrade projects - civil structures / platforms *Excellent written and verbal communication *BSc / MSc Engineering or Project Management accredited degree *Strong knowledge of Network Rail requirements Experienced working in a complex contracting environment for a main contractor Strong knowledge and working experience of NEC contracts
