We are recruiting for a national tier two multi-disciplinary organisation in which you will join their team in their North West office and you will be instrumental in securing tender outcomes and the future contracts for the business within the civil engineering sector. As an organisation, they undertake all aspects of civil engineering works including Highways, Energy, Rail, flood defences, treatment plants and the Public realm so your proven experience within these fields will be highly advantageous.
For this important position, your key duties and responsibilities will include: *Attending tender briefs *The pricing of tender documents for submission *Providing a least cost, optimal value solution for a competitive tender *Determination of quantities to produce accurate and realistic estimates for the works *Provide cost, budget and pricing schedules *Provide estimates to Project Managers for contract variations and claims *Establish likely progress and completion rates
This is the chance in which to showcase your Estimating abilities and your skills in leading a team to generate further work for a growing contractor. Your background in complex civil engineering projects will be highly valued as this is the market in which they excel.
If you believe you have the right skills and experience for this role, you will also need to demonstrate: *A Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualification *Extensive experience as Estimator within the infrastructure sector on large projects *Exposure to complex civil engineering projects and joint ventures *Have estimated projects ranging from £20m to £60m *Proficient on tender software like Candy *Capable of working alone whilst reporting to the Estimating Director at head office
