A leading international infrastructure company are currently working on a multi-million pound station upgrade in central London and they are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team. The role will involve refurbishment and construction of platforms, New installation in new sections of the station and upgrades to existing parts of the station.
*Liaise with the Head of Quality/Quality Manager and to supervise, inspect, advise and escalate critical Quality related observations promptly to the appropriate Delivery Manager
*Escalate any significant comment related to product quality or process quality from external sources to the Delivery Manager for clarification.
*The Responsibility of Delivering Quality Requirements during construction activities to the specified standards, specifications and drawings rests with the appropriate Deliver Manager and his Construction team
*To ensure, in conjunction with the Project Safety & Environment Manager, that the works are carried out safely and in compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
*Have a good understanding of construction techniques and specifications, particularly in relation to London Underground works *Be capable of conducting sufficient research of construction details, specifications, drawings etc. to carry out site inspections and surveillance of the construction operations and witness its compliant construction defect free. *Have an eye for detail *Previously worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager *Be qualified up to degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or have a craft or technician qualification, such as City & Guilds, NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 or BTEC/SQA national award *Qualification in Inspection (eg: NVQ/SVQ Site Inspection Level 4) is required (MICWCI preferred) *Hold a valid CSCS and PTS card (ICI Competency)
