A leading Highways Service provider is seeking a NRSWA supervisor to coordinate , develop and deliver the annual Highways Maintenance.
To work with team members to deliver capital funded maintenance and improvement projects at the required quality and to budget, together with delivery of the communication and consultation requirements of the scheme.
To co-ordinate and integrate resources to deliver a project or programme, utilising internal staff, shareholder resources, external consultants and contractors as required.
Liaison with client, stakeholders and third parties where necessary.
Liaise with other team members associated with the allocated schemes.
Ensure the scheme design complies with the specification and agreed programme.
Provide guidance and assistance to junior members of the team.
Maintain accurate records on allocated projects.
Ensure all projects comply with Health and Safety regulations and CDM requirements.
Have responsibility for ensuring Supply Chain Partners deliver to agreed standards.
Promote Health, Safety and Environment.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Knowledge of, and experience in, the maintenance, design and implementation of highway maintenance works.
Knowledge of and experience in use of construction materials used in highways.
Appropriate knowledge and application of Health and Safety Legislation including Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and an appropriate level of understanding of the principles of safety and the ability to apply this in the workplace.
A Sound knowledge of a wide range of highway maintenance techniques and treatments.
