An immediate opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager experienced in Highway/ viaduct/ bridge type works to join a top tier contractor on a project currently in the Pre-Construction investigation stage. Initially the works will be until the end of August, there is some potential for this to be extended, but no guarantees.
Main contractor backgrounds with solid heavy civils experience will also be considered.
As part of the role you will be responsible for the supervision of on-going site investigation, concrete inspections and looking ahead to notice any potential issues and raise through the relevant channels to avoid problems down the line.
As a site manager you will be required to:
*Ensure works are constructed defect free
*Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
*Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate
*Ensure only adequately trained and experienced operatives are engaged on site to deliver the scheme
*Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
*Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
*Deliver site inductions and regular tool box talk briefings to all site personnel
*Ensure all plant and equipment used is fit for purpose, only operated by suitably trained personnel and regularly inspected
*Keep line management apprised of potential problems and opportunities
* Significant experience in a Site Manager Role with a main contractor
* SSSTS and SMSTS
* CSCS Site Manager (Min)
*Valid Driving Licence
*CSCS Site Manager (Min)
*First Aid at Work
*Understanding of Engineering Principles
