We are currently recruiting for works on a large Network Rail station upgrade and we are looking for a freelance Section Engineer to work Nights in Central London.
The contract will be working for a leading main contractor and the section of work is to create new platforms for more trains, building a new concourse and creating a bigger and better station for an increased capacity of passengers.
The key responsibilities and duties will include:
*Assist the Nights Agent on this section of works *Amending and writing method statements and risk assessment *Managing the subcontractors and site engineers *Carrying out regular quality inspections *Liaison between the Sub Agent and design team on site *Produce ITPs and as builds *Planning weekly and monthly programmes *On site record keeping *Helping drive the works schedule on site to keep to completion dates
This is an ideal opportunity for a Section Engineer with heavy civils experience looking for a freelance contract to work on part of the largest rail infrastructure projects. Whilst this is a freelance position, this could lead to a permanent position with the contractors if desired at the end of the project.
If you would like to apply for this position, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the following:
*A completed Construction related degree or HNC *Previously worked as a Site Engineer, Section Engineer or Senior Engineer *Heavy Civils experience would be highly advantageous *Experience and knowledge of quality assurance and writing method statements and risk assessments *Hold a valid CSCS Card and current PTS
