I have an urgent requirement for a material controller for a roads project in Aberdeen.
The £750 million project will be completed in September 2017. Extensive highways and structures experience essential.
You will provide planning, organisation and control to the flow of materials into a highways construction project.
Key responsibilities: * Convert planned orders to production orders in support of programme requirements * Physically launch material into operation * Anticipate & communicate material shortages * Chase shortages through purchasing * Inherit & maintain Material Master data - reconcile errors or inconsistencies in the data and eliminate root causes * Ensure production order & rework order integrity * Perform regular audits of programme inventory levels * Establish processes which balance programme needs and inventory levels * Weekly and monthly performance reporting
Knowledge and experience * Operate in accordance with the relevant company quality and safety policies and procedures * Knowledge of common Microsoft office software * Knowledge of engineering, construction materials, particularly aggregates * Experience of production planning and control * Excellent data manipulation and analysis skills
