Our client is recruiting a highly motivated CDM/Health & Safety Consultant to join their Construction Consultancy for work on a range of exciting projects. You will be responsible for design, assisting the principle designer, advising the client (CDM 2015), advising on Health & Safety and potentially assisting with Building Surveying service.
The Company has an enviable client base and experience of dealing with a broad range of projects including new build, refurbishment and maintenance schemes for transport, public, leisure, education, retail, industrial, residential and commercial properties, ranging in value from £25K to £60M . Additionally, they have experience of mechanical and electrical engineering projects, civil engineering and demolition.
To be considered for the role of CDM/Health & Safety Consultant it is beneficial to match the following criteria:
* A minimum of two years practical experience providing client side CDM Services within the construction industry. * A minimum of two years practical experience providing client side Design Services within the construction industry. * Construction background and hold a relevant technical and professional qualifications * Membership of the APS and Design qualification/experience * Membership of IOSH * Have a thorough working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and associated legislation * Good understanding of the design process and how to design out hazards and risks * Commercial understanding of balancing health and safety risks with cost and programme whilst maintaining legal compliance * Commitment to service delivery and improvement * A personable and flexible personality that works well within a small team * Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and clients * Capable of working on own initiative and have good time/resource management skills * Experience in delivering Health & Safety training, i.e. hold training qualification (e.g. PTLLS or AET). * Building Surveying experience/RIS membership could be advantageous, but not essential when applying for this position. * Full clean driving licence
