We are proud to be representing a highly acclaimed surveying organisation that is looking for a proactive and committed HSQE Manager who will ensure that their company meets and adheres to all current and future legislation. This is a role in which you will grow with the company as they continue to expand and you will be an integral part of their management structure, working with all of the teams and individuals across the business. Reporting directly to the Directors and Senior Management team, you will ensure that the company attains and retains standards and certifications required for business purposes. This can include ISO9001, OHSAS18001, RISQS, FPAL, CHAS and Constructionline. This is a perfect position if you are looking to help shape the way in which the company sets their criteria of health, safety, quality and environmental controls and ensures that standards are in place and adhered to. This is an essential position within the company and your key responsibilities and duties will include: *Understand H&S at Work, etc, Act 1974 & other relevant legislation & promulgate practical measures to ensure compliance *Ensure compliance with current HS & E legislation *Develop methods for assessment and control of H&S risks for all activities *Provide information and training as required to ensure a suit-able and sufficient level of safety provision *Maintain appropriate records and statistics for internal purposes and for third party inspection *Maintain and update the company's IMS & associated documents in line with practical requirements & current HSQE legislation *Refine the company's IMS system with a view to third party accreditation to ISO standards *Develop or advise on appropriate administrative systems as required for the efficient operation of the company *Prepare or advise on design of documents and other record systems for administration purposes *Maintain administrative databases and systems as appropriate
With aim of maintaining third party accreditation to ISO standards, continue to:- *Develop & harmonise admin & H&S procedures *Harmonise existing technical procedures & related documents *Prepare and/or develop new procedures & documents as necessary *Liaise with consultants providing H&S and QA support *Devise and, as necessary, update plans and timetables in connection with application for ISO accreditation *Delegate such tasks as may be necessary to staff at all levels *Devise and maintain appropriate internal auditing procedures *Carry out or supervise internal audits *Supervise preparations for audit and inspection *Report to the board of directors as appropriate
