I have a requirement for an Estimator to work on a £5m-£10m tender for a rail project. Based in Swindon, duration is approx. 10 weeks. Duration will be longer if the project is won. Ideally you have worked on both rail projects and also highways projects (not maintenance).

As an Estimator your responsibilities include:
*Liaising with prospective clients to secure tenders
*Completion of PQQs
*Production of bills of quantity from drawings & specifications
*Securing material and specialist sub-contractor quotations
*Formulating tender price and completing submission
*Tender stage negotiation
An ideal Estimator will hold the following skills and experiences:
*You will have experience pricing rail/road tenders
*You will be used to reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
*You will be commercially astute and understand schedules and rates
*You will have excellent attention to detail and technical knowledge
*You will have the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
*You will have strong excel and maths skills
*You will definitely be a self-motivated and committed team player with a desire to achieve great things for yourself and the business.
*You will hold a relevant qualification alongside industry experience
