Turning over approx. £30-35million per year their project size ranges from small works up to £15million across a broad range of disciplines including, but not limited to: Private and Public clients; Utilities; Drainage; Heavy Civils; Residential; Education; Pharma and more.
There is a strong desire within the company to continue to use the latest construction techniques, equipment and materials to help ensure continuous improvement to all aspects of construction. This belief carries through to the care given to their employees with things such as education and skill upgrading being available to all.
The Job: You will be joining a company that aim to work as part of the client's team and like to ensure that a project goes through a thorough planning and preparation process at the front end, to provide clear and focused project goals ensuring delivery of all requirements to schedule and on budget.
You will have full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects varying in size, both from a time scale and commercial prospective, so commercial acuity and solid understanding of high level programming using the likes of Microsoft Project or similar are essential. Acting as a middle man between the site delivery team and the client for all contractual requirements you will need to maintain all contractual records/documentation and ensure timely review, approval and management of variations.
Within the company you will work closely with all Directors and Project managers to support and/or develop strategies, Identify potential risks/issues and develop appropriate solutions.
Other general day-to-day duties such as commercial reporting to upper management and ensuring the highest levels of H&S, quality and environmental standards are met.
About You: Along with all the usual expectations such as being computer literate, having tertiary education in a relevant field and a proven track record etc. you need to be looking for more than just a 9 - 5 job to pay the bills.
