Carmichael is delighted to be recruiting for one of the UK's leading specialist contractors who are highly respected in deep foundation projects. We are recruiting for their project team on an iconic project in the North East and you will be the driving force in ensuring that the QA Management on the project is implemented and maintained.
Your knowledge and experience within conveying and monitoring will be essential to the delivery of works for this particular project. As a capable and committed quality engineer, you will also be tasked with ensuring that all company QA standards are adhered to and complied with conducting regular audits and tests.
This is a key position within the project team and, as such, your key responsibilities will include:
Driving and directing the QA Management on the project
Ensure that the QA system is implemented and maintained
Develop a good relationship with the principle contractor's QA staff
Ensure all required test have been completed and recorded
Liaise with site staff and laboratory personnel
Conduct regular audits , manage test plans and check sheets
Compile handover files
This is a prime opportunity for you to demonstrate your management and communication skills as you drive the QA Management on this project and your prior experience will be invaluable in developing and great relationships with the Principal Contractors QA staff.
If you feel that your skills and experience are just right for this role, you will also need to demonstrate:
Preferably a civil engineering qualification or extensive experience on civil engineering projects
Have sound knowledge and experience of British Standards and codes for Civil Engineering construction
Experience managing the recording and flow of documents
CSCS, First aid
