A Clerk of Works is needed to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firm who will be overseeing the delivery of a Park and Ride project in the Cornwall area. This will be a 12 month contract. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works or Site Manager with QA experience to join a company with a professional company culture. Duties for the Clerk of Works will include -
* Ensuring the works are constructed to the design and specifications * Overseeing Health and Safety * Regularly check completed works and works in progress and compare it with project plans * Quality control especially of materials * Checking risk assessments and method statements * Monitoring and recording project milestones and information * Advising the contractor within the contract agreement * Attending meetings * Reporting on progress * Liaison and interacting with company Engineers and the Contractor's personnel
The requirements for a Clerk of work include - * Preferably a civil engineering qualification * Extensive knowledge of the UK specifications * Civil engineering construction knowledge especially on highway structures/civils packages in the UK as a Clerk of Works * Experience on Design, Highway and Major Civils projects * Good verbal and written skills * A collaborative strict but fair attitude CarmichaelUk is an equal opportunities employer.
