If you are a freelance Site Engineer with previous Highways experience in setting out structures we would love to hear from you. We have an immediate contract for you to work on a major civil engineering project on the A14 in Cambridgeshire.
A tier 1 Principal Main Contractor has been awarded a £1.5billion highways upgrade and part of the Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme. As part of the highways widening project, the Site Engineer will be working on the 21 mile upgrade section of the A14 between Swavesey and Milton which is due to be open to traffic in 2020.
As Site Engineer on this particular contract, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
*General setting out and monitoring of works on site
*Ensuring quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance to specification
*Meeting and the delivery of work to deadline
*Providing detailed technical input and coordination of information
*Ensuring and promote a Safe Working Practice
This is an ideal freelance opportunity for a committed and capable Site Engineer to join a tier 1 contractor for an on-going contract on a major highways project and you will boost your future career prospects by having this contract on your CV.
The successful candidate will also need to have the following requirements:
*Have previously worked as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer
*Have previous experience in working on a highways project
*Hold a valid CSCS card
*BSc or BEng level qualification in Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/ HND or the equivalent
