Internal & Office Apprenticeships

Construction: Internal & office - Advanced Apprenticeship

Possible vacancies can vary between being placed internally within on of our UK offices, as well as this we can also place apprentices into role with one of our many clients.

What will I be doing?

General office apprenticeships tend to deal with day to day general administrative duties, greeting clients, answering calls and inputting data into the system. Candidates will also be required to input data on systems, creating documents, sorting postal duties, photocopying and filing various documents.

Candidates will also have opportunities to assist with behind the scenes project work as requested in order to support departmental operations.

A typical day

A normal working week will generally consist of 35 working hours, Monday-Friday. Within the duration of one of your working days, you can expect to be sent to college for 1 of these days. There is no typical day for office assistants, daily tasks will vary depending on current projects and how your employer sets out the working day.

Useful interests and qualities

An ideal candidate will have clear communication skills, time management skills, a willingness to learn new skills and flexibility to prioritise tasks as they come in. As well as this, an ideal candidate would be proactive with the ability to use their initiative. Ideally candidates would be diligent and well organised, further opportunities will be available within the apprenticeship to gain further skills within your sector.

Entry requirements

Ideally, you’ll have 4 GCSE grades A*-C including English, maths and science... Not to worry if you don’t, there may also be opportunities to re-sit your maths and English exams before embarking on an apprenticeship. IT is also useful within this industry.
