Annual wage - £12,480.00

Hours - Average 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday; 9am – 5.30pm; 1 hour lunch break

Marketing is a creative industry that is essential to our commercial success. It's concerned with finding the needs and wants of people, developing a product or service that meets that need and helping create a desire for what has been created. Marketing involves several specialisms including: Direct, digital, social and traditional marketing where you'll be using a variety of techniques to communicate directly with clients and candidates.

Market research where you'll be gathering and analysing information on service users, competitors and the market in which we operate. Public Relations where you'll help look after the public image of the organisation.

As well as the above, our new apprentice will learn how to create and execute a marketing plan; help manage budgets, distribution and carry out research. Every day is different in our marketing department and you’ll be amazed by the variety of work you’ll be involved in.

Things you’ll be doing, but not all from day one:

  • Provide administrative support to the Marketing team.
  • Attend and support weekly department meetings.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Implement multi-channel marketing through email, social media, blog posts, case studies, video, digital advertising, PR and content marketing.
  • Managing and growing social media accounts.
  • Responding to comments and enquires across digital platforms.
  • Create digital media, infographics and flyers to help promote key messages.
  • Administration of website content.
  • Administration of intranet content.
  • Analysing our community growth by using Google and social media analytics to report metrics.
  • Plan and deliver PR communications surrounding CarmichaelUK activity.
  • Helping to organise company events including venue research and creating/ordering collateral.
  • Working with designers to create promotional material.
  • Be a brand guardian - quality control on all things brand related and ensure the highest standard in the use of the CarmichaelUK brand.

Useful Interests & Qualities

  • Genuine passion for digital marketing practices including multi-platform content & social media marketing.
  • Excellent copywriting, proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage simultaneous projects to tight deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills and awareness of digital and online platforms.

  • Curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm are paramount.
  • The successful candidate will be keen to find original and exciting ways to engage with and inform our community and the wider audience beyond.

Qualifications required

Good academic background (At least one A level grade A-C) or equivalent.

Future prospects

Potential full-time position upon completion of apprenticeship.
